What is your political persuasion? Democrat? Republican? Or something in between?
What political party do you support at the moment?

This will tell you what you REALLY are, never mind the labels.

I usually come up something of an "independent conservative libertarian".

I guess that way I piss off everybody.

I don't really believe in party loyalty as my views can vary depending on the issue.

From the quiz Dr Leftover posted, I am a Statist:

STATIST (BIG GOVERNMENT)
Statists want government to have a great deal of power over the economy and individual behavior. They frequently doubt whether economic liberty and individual freedom are practical options in today's world. Statists tend to distrust the free market, support high taxes and centralized planning of the economy, oppose diverse lifestyles, and question the importance of civil liberties. http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz/quiz.php#

From the quiz and it's accurate for me:

LIBERTARIAN
Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

LEFT (LIBERAL)
Liberals usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

Apparently. If, on the other hand, I actually have some faith with regards to governments cutting their budgets:

CENTRIST
Centrist prefer a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

I'm with Jazzy and it's accurate for me too.

I used to vote " a party " but they are all rather useless. So now i vote for a " person " and hope that this person will make his or her party a decent choice in the future. But so far that hasn't worked out either too much.
But i still get out a vote no matter what.

Anarchist.

I'm neither. After 2016, that was a wrap for me.

I lean Left.

I suppose I am a lefty but I agree with stuff on both sides.

I'm a Neo-Marxist, although I am not as well read in the literature as I could be. Maybe one decade I will be.

I was, by and large, a conservative from around August 1993 to May 2016.
Left the Right after Donald Trump became the GOP candidate for President. Haven't regretted leaving and napalmed the bridges behind me in doing so.

I always thought you were a leftie.

What does that entail?
The writing and theories of Karl Marx still provide the foundation of my political beliefs. Marxism however is a critique of the material conditions of the world and since his time the material conditions have changed. So while his insights and critiques of capitalism are still invaluable, they have been pushed in different directions. My political leanings come from both his writings and the writings of people who have been inspired by him. I am not sure if I answered the part of it you were asking about. But I draw from quite disparate sources to reach my political leanings. Unsurprisingly one of the primary sources is anthropological writings and understandings of culture and society,

Political atheist.
More & more & more I hate politics & am disgusted with politicians & wannabe politicians in general. Buncha hoodlums, liars & thieves.

I always thought you were a leftie.
I've had lefty views in the past but most of them were grounded in classical liberalism.
Nowadays, I am essentially a liberal; back then, not so much.
